As Umbraco Platinum Partners, we’re here to keep our clients and community in the loop. This August has been packed with fresh updates, new features, and inspiring community stories — here’s our round-up of what’s new.

Umbraco Engage: Expansion & availability

Last month we saw Umbraco Engage Analytics arrive – this month, the full feature set has rolled out for Umbraco 16+ projects. That means personalization and customer journey tools are now live alongside analytics.

If you’re running campaigns, Engage now offers:

  • A/B and multivariate testing.

  • Persona and journey-step scoring.

  • Data-driven personalization options.

To support this, Umbraco published Effective A/B Testing (Part 4) – a practical guide on knowing when to end a test. If you’ve ever been tempted to keep an experiment running “just one more week,” this one’s for you.

Umbraco Commerce: Maintenance & Fixes

Released August 14, 2025 — Version 16.2.2

The Commerce team have shipped another round of important fixes, helping developers and store managers run smoother experiences:

  • Rounding issues resolved in order calculations, eliminating inconsistencies (issue #744).

  • Property editor bug squashed where MultipleTextstring was producing malformed provider settings (issue #743).

  • Date formatting corrected, fixing culture-specific inconsistencies in parsing (issue #738).

These smaller updates are all about stability and giving you confidence in everyday use.

Product roadmap: What’s getting close

The Umbraco Roadmap has had a few exciting updates this month, with several big-ticket items edging closer to delivery:

  • Enhanced Engage – including persona and journey scoring – still on track for Q3.

  • Umbraco MCP Server – packaging and docs are being finalised, also expected Q3.

  • Search Abstraction Layer – further development progress means easier integrations with providers like Elasticsearch are just around the corner.

These updates all point towards a stronger, more connected ecosystem.

Wrapping up

From stability fixes in Commerce to the full launch of Engage, and from roadmap milestones to community stories, August has been a month of both progress and inspiration.

As we move into autumn, all eyes are on Q3 delivery – with some big updates on the horizon, it’s a great time to keep an eye on the roadmap.
