Digital Wonderlab is seeking a commercially driven and purpose-led Business Development & Account Manager to grow our client base, strengthen existing relationships, and fuel sustainable, meaningful growth. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and doer—someone excited by targets, energised by conversations, and empowered by tools like Salesforce, marketing automation, and LinkedIn. You’ll be responsible for expanding our market presence by engaging with new prospects and existing clients, both online and in person, helping purposeful organisations innovate through digital.
About the role
You will lead our relationship management efforts and work alongside our delivery teams and directly with the Co-CEO to elevate our approach to account management, nurturing and growing our client relationships, whilst developing new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and nurture a strong network of prospective and existing clients.
- Maintain long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with strategy, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and alignment of client expectations.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities that align with Digital Wonderlab’s services and values.
- Generate leads through events, digital outreach, partnerships, and referrals.
- Develop tailored proposals and pitches to support new client engagements.
- Work with internal teams to identify opportunities within existing clients.
- Attend industry events, meetups, and networking opportunities to represent the agency.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our values and capabilities to the wider market.
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities using Salesforce CRM.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to lead generation and client engagement.
- Analyse data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or a related role.
- Demonstrated success in generating leads and closing deals in a digital or creative agency environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions.
- Proven track record in business development or sales within a digital or creative agency environment.
- Strong understanding of digital services, particularly strategic consultancy, web and software development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and lead management tools.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple leads, opportunities and clients
- Commercially astute with a consultative, solution-focused approach
- A passion for growth and doing good with tech.
