Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance digital partner

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance’s mission is “We Save Lives” and they have been a lifeline in the skies of Wiltshire for over 30 years. Operating 19 hours a day and undertaking, on average, 3 lifesaving missions every single day.

Yet, they are entirely funded by donations from their supporters. Therefore, driving awareness, engaging with supporters and raising funds is vital to the continued delivery of the service.

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance need to raise funds of £3.75m a year to keep serving the community.

We have been Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance’s digital partner since 2018. Our first engagement focused on bringing clarity to their vision, as we helped define their digital strategy. We were keen to evolve the ways they connected and collaborated with their donors by seeking to understand their supporters, their needs and their current digital journey.

This led to the development of a new roadmap of digital projects focused on enhancing their users’ experience, which included the development of a new website, a new fundraising platform and key infrastructure improvements to drive internal efficiencies.

“They know that we have limited funding for these types of projects, because it’s our supporters’ money that is paying for projects like these, and they’re very mindful of that. When we went through the wish list together, Digital Wonderlab were very good at coming up with alternative solutions that were within our budget, but that achieved the same objectives.”

“It was very apparent that Digital Wonderlab understood the world of charity and our needs – they just get it. We drew up a wish list of solutions, but the main thing was that they understand the charity perspective.”

“When developing our new website, our aim was to create something that reflected all our donors and supporters. User testing was invaluable in providing those insights and highlighting gaps, allowing us to refine our plan to better address our supporters’ needs. We are really proud of our new website and the feedback we’ve received has been tremendous.”
